What is a matchup signal?

On league pages you'll sometimes see a ⚡ Signals tab. Here's exactly what triggers a signal and how to read it.

When a signal fires

A signal appears for an upcoming match when both players' historical cover profiles point the same way — for example, a favourite who reliably covers the set handicap meeting an underdog who rarely resists it. It's a convergence of two independent tendencies.

How to read it

Think of it as a flag for "these two histories agree", not a forecast of the result. It needs enough matches on both sides before it shows, so it's grounded in real samples — but past tendencies don't guarantee anything.

Honest by design

We label these as leans, never as tips or value bets. They're a transparent way to surface a pattern; what you do with it is your call.
